As you may know, democratic institutions are under severe pressure in the Philippines, a key factor in Asian and South China Sea geopolitics.
To this end, Makati Business Club (MBC), the association composed of some of the Philippines’ biggest companies, in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), the German civic education foundation would like to invite you to be the keynote speaker at our “Disinformation and Democracy under COVID-19” online event. We invite you to share your insights on the role of digital innovation in strengthening democracy and building immunity against fake news. We are planning this activity for August 5 or August 6 at a time of your choosing, or at a different date convenient for you in August 2020. The event will run for 1 1 /2 hours but if you are constrained we can fit your remarks and Q&A within 50 minutes.
